VIRGIN NIGERIA INTRODUCES FAST TRACK IMMIGRATION SERVICE FOR BUSINESS CLASS TRAVELLERS
Lagos, 21 July 2006: Nigeria: Virgin Nigeria Airways
Limited has further stepped up its customer service offering
through the introduction of Fast Track immigration service for
business class passengers arriving London Gatwick Airport. The
Fast Track facility is for Business class passengers who do not
hold an EU, EEA or Swiss passport. The Fast Track immigration service is a priority service for business class travellers that saves up to 30 minutes of their time as it offers dedicated priority passport and immigration control channels for passengers on the service at London Gatwick Airport.
Head, Corporate Communications, Mr. Larry Agose described the introduction of the fast track immigration service as another major incentive to business class passengers to ease checks at immigration points and reduce time spent before being cleared.
Speaking on the introduction of the Fast Track Facility, Agose said: "Virgin Nigeria as a forward looking airline is constantly devising ways of serving the customers better by offering them value for their money".
"The Fast Track Immigration service is designed to deliver the convenience and comfort required by the active traveller and making their journey as seamless, comfortable and luxurious as possible", Agose said, noting that in order for passengers to use the facility, Fast Track vouchers will be given to them. This will be shown along their business class boarding stub.
It will be recalled Virgin Nigeria has introduced series of innovative packages to ease passengers' burdens. These includes the partnership with United Bank of Africa on pay-at-bank option which enables passengers to book anywhere and make payments at designated points; the recently introduced (in partnership with UBA) online payment system that allows the convenience of payment with an interswitch debit card. Virgin Nigeria offers chauffeur-driven car service and Drive-Thru Check-in for passengers travelling in Business class in both London and Johannesburg.
