07 November 07 VIRGIN NIGERIA OFFERS SPECIAL CHARTER FLIGHT FROM DUBLIN.
Lagos, Nigeria: November 07, 2007: Virgin Nigeria will on 19 December 2007 offer a special inbound charter flight from Dublin, the Irish capital to Lagos Nigeria with the return leg scheduled for 8 January 2008. The proposed charter flight out of Dublin marked VK299 will be the first direct air service between the two nations by Virgin Nigeria and is coming on the heels of requests and overtures by the Nigerian community in Dublin to the airline to offer them a seamless and convenient means of transportation back home for the yuletide period..
Announcing the charter service, the Chief Operating Officer,
Dr. Yemi Osindero said: “As a caring and dependable flag
carrier of Nigeria, the special flight is a further proof of
our innovative nature. Due to Nigeria’s strong community
presence in Ireland we decided to offer this special flight
as our special holiday gift to the Nigerian community in
Dublin to help encourage relations between both nations. “Confirmed passengers aboard the proposed flight will enjoy a competitively priced service with our usual generous baggage allowance of 2 pieces at 32kg each as well as our unique onboard services. The flight will also offer the potential for interested passengers to make another seamless connection to Johannesburg and an opportunity for US bound passengers to complete immigration formalities before their departure”, Yemi further stated.
World Travel, Club Travel and Joe Walsh tours, who are the accredited key partners of the flight, are available for any other enquiry connected to the chartered flight.
The Nigerian Ambassador to Ireland, His Excellency, Mr. Ben Amobi will be on
hand to inaugurate the special charter service which is
outside Virgin Nigeria’s normal schedule. Virgin Nigeria has
since the commencement of flight operations to the United
Kingdom been very supportive of the Nigerian Irish community
and in recognition of all her efforts, the airline has been
nominated for a community award at the forthcoming “Bold &
Beautiful” award night in Dublin.
