VIRGIN NIGERIA CELEBRATES MOTHERS WORLDWIDE

Lagos, Nigeria: 19 March 2007: It was celebration galore at the International Wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport as Virgin Nigeria celebrated all Mothers.

Sunday, 18 March 2007, which was set aside internationally to commemorate mothers, saw Virgin Nigeria check-in counters adorned with flowers to celebrate travelling Mothers. All Mothers flying on the domestic, regional or international service of Virgin Nigeria on that day were celebrated with cards and gift items as soon they checked-in.

Speaking on the significance of mothers' day, Virgin Nigeria's Chief Operating Officer, Dr Yemi Osindero said: "This is a day for giving thanks for all the things our Mothers do for us".

"We at Virgin Nigeria, today celebrate the exceptional contributions of Mothers which have shaped the history of mankind", Osindero further stated.

Also speaking on the recognition of mothers by Virgin Nigeria, a visibly excited passenger aboard one of the flights, Mrs B. Sowemimo expressed appreciation to Virgin Nigeria for their originality in singling out Mothers on each flight.

"I was pleasantly surprised to be presented with these gifts. I feel so valued with the treatment Virgin Nigeria has shown and I commend Virgin Nigeria for recognising all mothers in this manner. It's very refreshing and I felt very special today", Mrs Sowemimo noted.

Mothers' day is principally a day set aside to honour mothers around the world for their contributions towards the development of the world at large.
