22 March 07 VIRGIN NIGERIA COMMENCES UPGRADE OF IT'S FACILITIES AT ABUJA DEPARTURE TERMINAL
Lagos, Nigeria: 22 March 2007: Virgin Nigeria has announced a major renovation and upgrading of its terminal at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja with a view to positively improve on its service delivery to customers.
The construction work which will take about eight weeks to complete will see the departure lounge of Virgin Nigeria further enhanced with additional facilities such as check-in counters, a business class lounge, good lighting as well as mechanical facilities that will fast track baggage loading and collection.
The additional facilities will offer convenience of check-in and comfort to all passengers which will further improve on the overall performance of Virgin Nigeria's
On Time Departure.
Speaking on the expectations of the terminal on completion, the Director, Corporate Communications, Mr. Larry Agose said:
"our business class passengers and gold card members of the eagleflier club will have a dedicated and exclusive business lounge where they will be treated to the unique Virgin Nigeria flavour".
"The Virgin Nigeria terminal will also on completion have more ticketing and check-in areas, while the access and security to the Virgin Terminal will be further enhanced", Agose further stated, stressing that the exclusive business lounge is another home advantage and a unique way of rewarding the airline's frequent fliers.
Agose appealed for passengers understanding as the ongoing construction work will temporary impact on operations at the airport. He noted that passengers are encouraged to visit the mezzanine floor of the airport where they will be treated to some form of refreshment before their departure.
The ongoing renovation work at the airport is part of Virgin Nigeria's commitment to deliver world class services to her numerous customers in all aspects of her operations.
