VIRGIN NIGERIA SIGNS ON 6,000 EAGLEFLIER CLUB MEMBERS

Lagos, Nigeria: April 11, 2007: The Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Nigeria, Dr. Yemi Osindero, has described the airline's frequent flyer programme "eagleflier" as the only one of its kind in Nigeria as it is the only frequent flyer programme that allows passengers to earn miles domestically and spend internationally.

Dr. Osindero, during a question and answer session at a recent trade forum, said that since the formal introduction of the programme in November 2006, over 6000 customers have been registered and the eagleflier service centre is still processing more applications.

Dr. Osindero also encouraged passengers to take advantage of the recently extended March to March promo and register with eagleflier in order to enjoy the benefits of registering previous miles earned.

"The March-to-March promotion, which entails passengers submitting their boarding passes, has been extended to April 30, 2007. This is to accommodate the requests of passengers that are yet to utilise the opportunity of the promotional period to credit their eagleflier account by claiming miles for travel as far back as March 2006", Dr. Osindero further said.

The eagleflier which is the registered trademark of Virgin Nigeria for her frequent flyer programme was launched with a lot of fanfare at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos in November 2006. The programme, since its formal introduction, has gone into partnership with hotels, financial institutions, fashion designers, among others, to offer exclusive rewards to loyal passengers.

The eagleflier members, depending on the membership category, are entitled to benefits that include ticket upgrades, access to Virgin Nigeria lounges, dedicated fast track check-in services and excess baggage allowance over the ticketed limit for class of travel.

Also, eagleflier members can earn miles whenever they transact business with any of the partners by simply quoting their membership numbers or by presenting the used coupons and receipts (from the eagleflier partners) to the eagleflier service centre for entry.

In addition to earning miles through partners, more promotional offers will be introduced in the coming months to further reward loyal members and encourage other passengers to join eagleflier.
