VIRGIN NIGERIA OPENS CITY TICKETING OFFICE IN IBADAN

Lagos, Nigeria: 10 August 2007: Virgin Nigeria has opened a City Ticketing Office (CTO) in Ibadan in its bid to better serve and bring convenience to the doorsteps of intending passengers in Ibadan and her neighboring regions. With the opening of the new CTO, passengers in the ancient city of Ibadan and environs are in for an entirely refreshing experience as they now have the option of making their bookings, reservations and picking up their tickets at the City Ticketing Office.

The City Ticketing Office located at Broking House, Dugbe, which is in the central business district of the historic city of Ibadan will be operated by Peacock Aviation & Allied Services, (PAAS) as the Passenger General Sales Agent for Virgin Nigeria in Ibadan.

Speaking on the opening of the ticketing office, the Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Yemi Osindero said: “Our partnership with Peacock Aviation and Allied Services in the operation of this City Ticketing Office is to further bring our services closer to our numerous passengers in Ibadan and environs”.

“The location of the Ibadan ticketing office will effectively support our variety of online options as passengers in the region can either call the centre to make their bookings or by simply making transactions across the counters”, Yemi further said.

Speaking in the same vein, the Executive Chairman of Peacock Aviation and Allied Services, Chief S.P. Philips said that the presence of the Ibadan ticketing office will significantly curtail travel to Lagos as the Ibadan centre has the wherewithal to provide quick, simple and courteous services to intending passengers of Virgin Nigeria.

Chief Phillips further noted that “Ibadan has a special place in the hearts of Nigerians. Apart from being the largest city in West Africa, it is a centre of cultural and commercial convergence with very enterprising and friendly people”.

The opening of the Ibadan City Ticketing Office is premised on Virgin Nigeria's commitment to bring her services closer to the doorsteps of all.
