VIRGIN NIGERIA’S STATEMENT ON THE COMMENCEMENT OF TEMPORARY DOMESTIC FLIGHT OPERATIONS OUT OF THE MMA2

Lagos Nigeria, 14th August 2008: Virgin Nigeria announces that due to the forced eviction of our domestic operations out of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, despite the existence of our matter before the Court of Appeal, slated for hearing on 7th October 2008, we are compelled to temporarily operate our domestic flights out of the MMA2 to minimise disruptions and inconvenience to our customers and the travelling public.

We will therefore commence temporary domestic operations from the MMA2 on Friday, 15 August 2008.

All our pre-booked and intending passengers are advised to connect their flights from the Murtala Mohammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2).

Whilst we await determination of our case by the court, we will continue to dialogue with the Federal Government and the relevant authorities.

We wish to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that passengers may experience as a result of the schedule disruptions which are beyond our control.
